Hello everyone! Dave here with another blog post on when is a good time to buy?
Well currently…the time is now. Inventory has dropped over the holiday season in Orangeville, Dufferin, Caledon and Erin, but you can expect many of those listings to hit the market again in the new year.
Waiting for an upward swing in the market puts any Buyer looking against other Buyers who also have waited for an upward swing.
This could put a Buyer at risk of competing. Chasing an upward market is never a good thing for Buyers. Much like the panic buying (for toilet paper, flour, and even real estate), we saw during the pandemic, it’s a situation no Buyer wants to be in.
I don’t think we’ll be seeing anything like we saw during the pandemic, when we all witnessed an overheated unsustainable real estate market. Prices are much more realistic, and as a Buyer with pre-approved financing in place, it’s a good time to buy.
