The 2017 market is underway in the Headwaters region of Orangeville, Dufferin, Erin and Caledon! Sales were similar to January 2016 versus 2017 in the Headwaters region with 102 sales in 2016 and 99 sales in 2017.
BUT, the main difference again has been the lack of inventory. At the end of January 2016, 366 homes were available for sale versus a mere 184 at the end of January this year.
In Orangeville, sales were exactly the same in January 2016 & 2017 with 29 sales occurring. Again the inventory is half of what it was last year with only 19 available homes for Buyer’s to consider.
We hope the inventory improves, allowing buyers more selection, less multiple offer scenarios, and easing the rapidly increasing average sale price.
